You should include the old {{Wikidata}} template here, because if the rider/team/competition has more than one ID, then result will be broken. Not even talking about, that currently it's not possible to to use |1=, |2= or |name=, if needed. And the use of {{pipetrick}} is also important (something similar to PAGENAMEBASE template at enwiki). AFAIK these identifiers haven't multiple statements, however the template can be changed at any time if needed. --Rotpunkt (msg) 11:09, 24 nov 2015 (CET)
