Thunderbirds, Superman, Ghostbusters but as ships go, its the Stena Nordica. If ever there was a trusty ship built, then the Nordica would be be it for it has helped Stena get out of various technical problems with their fleet over the years. This troubleshooter, no stranger to Irish waters was covering the Dublin-Holyhead route yet again over a few weeks in 2020, when the new Stena Estrid developed engine problems & required to be taken out of service. Nordica is seen on arrival into Dublin just before midday. The amount of times I've written an obituary for this ship on the Dublin route, only for it to return....just like a boomerang. |
